On December 12th, 2024, the ESG ADR Forum Launch Event took place at the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event was held by Legal Plus and L2 i-CON International, with the collaboration of the Inns of Court Malaysia and CIC Capital Consultancy. Mr. Phan Trong Dat – Acting Director of the Vietnam Mediation Centre (VMC), attended the event.
The ESG ADR Forum Launch Event
The ESG ADR Forum is a non-profit initiative founded by Legal Plus and L2 i-CON International to address the complex challenges posed by Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues in today’s world. The Forum’s mission is to advance responsible dispute resolution methods, fostering collaboration to work towards sustainable and ethical solutions for ESG-related disputes. The Forum thus helps enhance understanding and promote the application of ESG principles in dispute resolution mechanisms, creating a fairer and more sustainable legal and business environment.
The event commenced with the ESG ADR Forum Launch Ceremony. Ms. Almalena Sharmila Johan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) delivered the Opening Remarks. The event continued with a Roundtable discussion session on Malaysia’s ESG Roadmaps and Ethical Social & Governance, along with two Panel Discussion sessions on Resolving ESG-Related Disputes through ADR and Driving the Future of Responsible ADR.

ADR can be a powerful tool to support sustainable business practices, build trust and advance ESG goals in dispute resolution
